Kitty Mazinsky is a vintage jazz and American Songbook vocalist based in Hungerford, Berkshire, performing music from the 1920s to the 1960s at weddings, private celebrations, hotels and special events across Dorset. She has performed Remembrance Sunday services in the Bride Valley and at a wedding at the Connaught Hotel in Bournemouth, and is available for events across the county.
Dorset stretches from the Jurassic Coast and the chalk downs of Cranborne Chase to Sherborne and the Blackmore Vale, with country house venues, coastal settings and private estates across the county. Kitty is happy to travel to Dorset for the right event.
Live Jazz in Dorset — Weddings, Events & Venues
Weddings in the Dorset Countryside
Dorset’s countryside — the rolling chalk downs, the Blackmore Vale and the wooded combes of the county interior — provides a beautiful backdrop for country house weddings and outdoor celebrations. Dorset country house venues include Athelhampton House, Mapperton House and Came House, with Minterne House near Cerne Abbas offering another option for wedding receptions and private dining.

Bournemouth & the South Dorset Coast
Bournemouth and the Poole Harbour area offer a range of hotel venues and private event spaces for weddings, corporate dinners and private celebrations. Kitty has performed at a wedding at the Connaught Hotel in Bournemouth. The Sandbanks peninsula and the Harbour Heights Hotel are among the finest settings along this stretch of coast.

The Jurassic Coast — Coastal Events
Dorset’s Jurassic Coast provides a dramatic setting for weddings and events, with historic hotels, coastal venues and country houses throughout the area. Lyme Regis, Swanage, Worth Matravers and the stretch of coast between Weymouth and Bridport offer hotel and private-event settings for weddings, summer events and celebrations.

Remembrance & Heritage Events
Kitty has performed Remembrance Sunday services in the Bride Valley in west Dorset, and is available for Remembrance events, 1940s commemorations and heritage occasions across the county. Dorset’s strong connections to the Second World War — through its coastal defences, its airfields and its role in the D-Day preparations — make it a natural county for wartime heritage events.

Sherborne & the Blackmore Vale
Sherborne is known for its abbey, two castles and honey-stone streets. The Sherborne, a newly restored Grade I listed Georgian manor house in the heart of the town, hosts private events and special occasions. The surrounding Blackmore Vale and villages of north Dorset also have a number of country house venues and private event spaces for weddings and celebrations.
Country House Hotels & Private Estates
Dorset has country house hotels offering afternoon teas, lounge sets and private dining. Summer Lodge Country House Hotel in Evershot, THE PIG on the Beach at Studland and Moonfleet Manor near Weymouth are examples of venues where live jazz can accompany drinks, dining and special events.
