Vintage Garden Games UK
Monday 3rd July 2017
Recently, I had the pleasure of singing for a mini vintage fete at Stonor Park near Henley-on-Thames. It was a glorious evening with a stunning setting, a hog roast and a lovely crowd.
While I sang my vintage tunes, the gathering was kept occupied with a variety of family-friendly, hands-on nostalgic games including hook-a-duck, hoopla, a coconut shy, Connect 4 and splat the rat. There was even a giant game of Jenga that proved a huge hit!
For those planning an event, these games really add to a fun atmosphere while keeping guests – of all ages – engaged and entertained. Lawn games, funfair stalls, bunting, hay bales, candyfloss and more. Vintage and modern games available. Call James on 07800 802 751 or see www.vintage-garden-games.co.uk for more information.
Thanks for all the fun, guys!

Apollo Big Band

I had a really energising gig recently with the fabulously talented Apollo Big Band in Stockcross. Thanks for having me, everyone, and thanks to the wonderful crowd who brought picnics along and provided such a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Celebrating Dame Vera Lynn’s 100th birthday on BBC Radio Berkshire!
Monday 27th March 2017
This past Monday, March 20th 2017, I dragged myself out of bed before the sun was up to get my glad rags on and celebrate Dame Vera Lynn’s 100th birthday by singing live – before breakfast(!) – on BBC Radio Berkshire for the Andrew Peach Show.
It was a treat to be a part of honouring this special vintage lady who is perhaps THE definitive national treasure. Happy birthday Vera!
You can listen to my sections of the show on this playlist.

Time For Tea? I think so!
Tuesday 21st June 2016
I had the pleasure of attending a community event in celebration of the Queen’s Birthday in Henley last weekend. It was organised by The Henley Partnership and was a repeat of a very successful event from last year. I loved all of it – the singing, the community, the organisers – and one thing stood out as really extra special: the afternoon tea provided by local vintage caterers, Time for Tea.
There were delicious sandwiches and cakes, beautiful china, and friendly staff all dressed up in retro finery. I couldn’t ask for more! So if anyone is looking for a vintage caterer this summer, look no further than the wonderful Time for Tea, based in Henley-on-Thames. HIGHLY recommended!!

Recently I was approached by a new agency to join their books, and here is the resulting bookings page. I’ve got a new pseudonym! Very exciting 🙂

The Singer of Dibley
Thursday 17th December 2015
So, a few months ago I was chilling out, pre-gig, at The Bull & Butcher in Turville, Buckinghamshire, near Henley-on-Thames, a hamlet which has featured in many a film and television series. Most notably (for me, so not including the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang windmill, mainly as I have never seen that film – apologies), Turville stood in for Dibley in the BBC’s now classic comedy The Vicar of Dibley.
As you might expect, it is a picturesque location, lending itself to being photographed. So when a certain Mark Ainsworth approached me and asked if he could do an impromptu photoshoot around the village, I did not mind one bit! Here are the results. Thanks Mark!
